Dr. Wilson is also a Karuna Reiki ® Master Teacher , registered with the International Center for Reiki Training. Karuna Reiki ® involves a healing system and training beyond the Usui Reiki Master training and evolved out of Usui and Tibetan Reiki from a desire and a knowingness that there is always something greater waiting to be uncovered.

Karuna is a Sanskrit word that means compassionate action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others; however, it is not an ordinary kind of compassion, but one that comes from an unbounded sea of love. Karuna Reiki ® accesses even higher vibrational frequencies and has a more feminine feel than Usui Reiki, allowing one to work more closely with all enlightened beings who are physically present and with those enlightened beings who are in spirit, such as Mahakaruna, Avalokiteshvara, Kuan Yin, Kannon and other Bodhisattvas who have mastered Karuna and thus, are emissaries of this great healing energy. Karuna Reiki® enhances one's ability to create profound shifts in vibrational healing energy and states of consciousness with increased healing alpha/theta brain waves.  Not coincidentally, within one week of Carol becoming a Karuna Reiki® Master, Carol received the Avalokiteshvara initiation/empowerment from His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinlay Thaye Dorje on his first visit to the United States from India.  Since that time, Avalokiteshvara has been one of Carol's daily practices, which profoundly enhances her use of the Karuna Reiki® healing system.  (However, please note that the statue shown above remains ineffectual if it does not awaken our own priomordial love and compassion.)

Karuna Reiki® training has two levels with eight symbols and three Master symbols, which equip the Usui Reiki Master with more healing tools. Each of the eight symbols has a different frequency and a different way of helping the healing process; i.e. reducing pain and preparing for deep healing, healing deeply, filling the client with love, grounding, and bringing peace.  These healing energies are noticeably stronger and able to quickly heal a wider range of  difficulties.  Many experience the energy flowing not only through the body and arms and legs, but all around the outside as well so that it completely surrounds the Reiki Master on its way to the  client.  Healing occurs on a cellular level, healing past life issues, relationships, addictions, child abuse, sexual and physical abuse issues, karmic issues, unconscious patterns,, and dispels psychic and psychological attack. Among other benefits, the Karuna energy can also assist in the development of compassionate action, learning abilities, creativity, grounding, connecting with the higher and lower self, and in the ability to connect to spiritual beings.
